I migrated my blogger account to beta.blogger.com account and the images are working now. I'll stop swearing. :-)

I had good intentions of keeping this blog going for the first year of Zach's life but I've been somewhat lazy latley in not updating it very often.

Zach Crusin' the Furniture

My last post was to mention the fact that he'd started crawling. Now (ok it's been a while), he walking around holding onto the furniture! I don't seem to be able to upload photo's though... :(

Good weekend in review

Sadly the end to a good weekend this Monday morning. Amanda didn't work at all this weekend which was unusual so on Saturyday we all went along to a place I take the kids sometimes called Badbury Clump. I only know about it cause I used to go to school in Faringdon which is right next to Badbury Clump.

We also went to McDonalds and the rest of the day was stress free. Very unusual!

On Sunday we cleaned out the garage to get it ready to be converted into a play room. Eventhough we clean it out every 6 months or so, it still manages to get packed full of stuff. We finished that and watched a film 'Revolver'.
I enjoyed it but the last 20 minutes where unusual. It didn't wrap up the story to well, I don't think so anyway.

Good weekend, now on with the week.

Zach crawling

Although Zach has been dragging himself across the floor for a few weeks now, I caught him yesterday crawling on his hands and knees! A milestone event in any baby's development.

Tom started crawling about 2 weeks before he started walking! He never liked 'being on his tummy' but Zach has never minded that.

I managed to take some video (mp4) and some photos with my new phone.

Just a little update on our boys

We hope you are all well. Touch wood we are free of cough and colds at the moment and long may it last. Tom is attending asthma clinic as he has had croup four times now and they suspected it might be a touch of asthma. He has been on an inhaler for about a month and we have seen a vast improvement. He did have a persistent cough which has now gone and he is much better at night. We were being woken every night with his coughing and the poor mite looked a bit tired after restless nights. Roll on the summer!



Tom ‘reads’ to Zach from his books and it is quite touching to watch. We do hope he will become a bookworm like Tom! Zach is now rolling over (one direction at the moment and gets a little frustrated when he hits a wall or object). We think he is going to be mobile a lot sooner than Tom. Zach is weaned and my god that boy can eat! We have yet to find something he does not like! He is not doing very well at night he is waking up a few times and is a little grumpy – where are those teeth?



I was going to add a photo from the camera but the batteries have run out and need re-charging!!!! It’s too late and it’s been a long day so TTFN

March already

I've just been so busy latley. Tom, Zach, Amanda and I have had colds. Zach's been a nightmare sleeping at night untill about 2 weeks ago. Amanda's started her own business as a Kleeneze distributor. She's doing really well a it. I've been working 50 hour weeks as well as looking after the kids when I get home means there's no time for anything else. Thats why I've nt updated my blog site for ages. We've booked another holiday to Centre Parcs in June.

Zach's sitting up well now. I've post some new photos when the chance arises.

Family is still sick

Still coughing and spluttering. Zach is still waking up. We'll survive though :)

Sick family

Well it seems for one reason or another that we are all poorly at the moment. Zach started off with a cough and cold waking himself up at night. Tom has the cold also and had difficulty breathing a couple of nights ago. It's quite scary when you see you child struggling for breath. We had him in the shower room so the steam would open up his airways which it did. Amanda also has the cold and is very tired having supported Tom through that night because I had the last day of my course to attend.

We're all on the mend though I think. Tom slept a lot better last night and Zach's sleeping on his side now which seems to help. He has a cushion behind his bottom to stop him rolling over onto his back.

We can look forward to a year of good health after this I truly believe. (I've had enough of feeling pessimistic all the time).

Courses - Finished

Just finshed my second course in the last 7 days. It's quite a lot to take in 2 courses. Early starts this week as I was commuting to Northampton from Swindon. Thats about 1.5 hours to 2.25 hours depending on traffic and time of day. Still, they were both very valuable.

Training

Just finished a training course for my work on Friday. It was at a place called Middle Aston House
and was residential. It was a great course about leading poeple. I have another course that starts on Monday. That one finishes on Wednesday then it's back to work.

Christmas was great fun. Tom got to open all Zach's presents as well as his own and mine! He had a fabulous day.

Zach now weights 16 pounds 5 ounces. He can roll over from front to back and is making increasing differing sounds. He's changing so fast I almost don't want him to grown up just yet.

Amanda is back to work today after maternity leave. She's looking as beautiful as ever ;)
