Getting 'The Settlers 6: Rise of an Empire' to work on Windows 7 (Tages problem)

1. Install Settlers 6 from the game DVD
   
2. Install the Patch The Settlers: Rise of an Empire v1.6 link
   
3. Settlers will not run due to the Tages driver being incompatible.
   
4. Download and install this Tages driver from here (choose 32 or 64 bit) link
   
5. Make sure the game DVD is NOT in the drive
   
6. Start Settlers 6, it will ask if you want to activate.
   
7. Activate the game with your key from your manual.
   
8. Setters 6 should now work fine! (You might not even need the DVD in the drive to play)

I feel the need to prove that I actually did the abseil today so here are a few pictures to show any non believers....

The first picture is so you can see the clothes I'm wearing.

The second, if you look hard enough you'll find a little blue dot with a white helmet about 1/3 of the way down the cliff face.

The third, so you can see I've acutally moved!

To tell you the truth, I enjoyed it and would do it again. I only enjoyed it though because I never looked down once.

I'll see if I can dig out some more photo's.

Fixed the uploading pictures problem

I migrated my blogger account to beta.blogger.com account and the images are working now. I'll stop swearing. :-)

Zach Crusin' the Furniture

My last post was to mention the fact that he'd started crawling. Now (ok it's been a while), he walking around holding onto the furniture! I don't seem to be able to upload photo's though... :(

Good weekend in review

Sadly the end to a good weekend this Monday morning. Amanda didn't work at all this weekend which was unusual so on Saturyday we all went along to a place I take the kids sometimes called Badbury Clump. I only know about it cause I used to go to school in Faringdon which is right next to Badbury Clump.

We also went to McDonalds and the rest of the day was stress free. Very unusual!

On Sunday we cleaned out the garage to get it ready to be converted into a play room. Eventhough we clean it out every 6 months or so, it still manages to get packed full of stuff. We finished that and watched a film 'Revolver'.
I enjoyed it but the last 20 minutes where unusual. It didn't wrap up the story to well, I don't think so anyway.

Good weekend, now on with the week.

Zach crawling

Although Zach has been dragging himself across the floor for a few weeks now, I caught him yesterday crawling on his hands and knees! A milestone event in any baby's development.

Tom started crawling about 2 weeks before he started walking! He never liked 'being on his tummy' but Zach has never minded that.

I managed to take some video (mp4) and some photos with my new phone.

Just a little update on our boys

We hope you are all well. Touch wood we are free of cough and colds at the moment and long may it last. Tom is attending asthma clinic as he has had croup four times now and they suspected it might be a touch of asthma. He has been on an inhaler for about a month and we have seen a vast improvement. He did have a persistent cough which has now gone and he is much better at night. We were being woken every night with his coughing and the poor mite looked a bit tired after restless nights. Roll on the summer!



Tom ‘reads’ to Zach from his books and it is quite touching to watch. We do hope he will become a bookworm like Tom! Zach is now rolling over (one direction at the moment and gets a little frustrated when he hits a wall or object). We think he is going to be mobile a lot sooner than Tom. Zach is weaned and my god that boy can eat! We have yet to find something he does not like! He is not doing very well at night he is waking up a few times and is a little grumpy – where are those teeth?



I was going to add a photo from the camera but the batteries have run out and need re-charging!!!! It’s too late and it’s been a long day so TTFN

March already

I've just been so busy latley. Tom, Zach, Amanda and I have had colds. Zach's been a nightmare sleeping at night untill about 2 weeks ago. Amanda's started her own business as a Kleeneze distributor. She's doing really well a it. I've been working 50 hour weeks as well as looking after the kids when I get home means there's no time for anything else. Thats why I've nt updated my blog site for ages. We've booked another holiday to Centre Parcs in June.

Zach's sitting up well now. I've post some new photos when the chance arises.
